Jr. Pro Basketball Tournament Results

Reading is FUN!

Jay Elementary celebrated  students reaching their AR (accelerated reader) goals.   Students were treated to music by the Jay High Marching Band.  The Boy Scouts presented the flag.  Entertainment was provided by the Jay High Competition Cheer squad, and the Jay Recreational league cheer squads.  All of the students who met their goal was recognized.

JES Makes Human Ribbon

Jay Elementary Reaches AR Goal

Jay Elementary students reached their annual Accelerated Reader Goal and Principal Dale Carnley had to kiss a donkey.  The students worked hard to make this happen, but the ultimate reward is the hours they read.  The students read  20,143 books  and  115,452,966 words. Jay Elementary Math Teachers of the Year

Jay Elementary selected Wendy Upton (Primary ) and Cathy Nelson (Intermediate) as Math Teachers of the Year.    Both teachers were honored at a reception held at the Santa Rosa School Board.  All of the teachers nominated were praised for their accomplishments and innovative teaching styles.
