Jay High School Community Town Hall

Santa Rosa County School District is holding community town halls all across the district and tonight (Tuesday), Jay High will have it’s turn. It is open to the public. The event starts at 6:00pm in JHS Auditorium.

JES Teacher of the year…


Rhonda Adams was selected Jay Elementary School’s teacher of the year. Rhonda, a 2002 graduate from Jay High, has been teaching at JES for 12 years and teachers 3rd grade.

JHS Teacher of the Year…


Lana Rowell was selected Jay High’s teacher of the year. Lana, a 2000 graduate from JHS, serves as JHS’ librarian and also is the SGA sponsor. She came to JHS after serving 10 years at Jay Elementary. Lana is in her fourth year at JHS.

JHS 2021 Homecoming Court


Jay’s homecoming is October 29. They play J. U. Blackshear at Merle V. North Stadium. This year’s theme is “Royals top the charts!” Freshmen-Shyanna Fanguy Sophomore-Rebecka Salter Junior-Makenleigh Bledsoe Seniors-Caroline Harp, Alayna Lowery, Abby Hendricks, Autumn Russell

School Cancelled

School has been canceled in Santa Rosa County for Monday, 8/14. No word on if the day will have to be made up or not.

Jay FFA Places Third at State


Orlando-Jay High’s FFA was well represented last week at the state convention held at Caribe Resort. The middle school chapter placed 3rd in the Opening and Closing  Ceremony competition.
