Jr. Pro Basketball season finished up Saturday morning. Photos of 1st and 2nd place winners are posted. In girls action, Mulford’s Wildcats came out on top of Hendricks’ Tigers. In Boys, Smith’s Pride defeated Dura Med’s Braves, and Hill’s Bombers defeated Sieb’s Royals.
In games at Jay tonight, Boys groups: Jay’s DuraMed team defeated Chumucka’s Monstars 41-28. Jay’s Pride defeated Chumuckla’s Indians, 31-18. Jay Elementary celebrated students reaching their AR (accelerated reader) goals. Students were treated to music by the Jay High Marching Band. The Boy Scouts presented the flag. Entertainment was provided by the Jay High Competition Cheer squad, and the Jay Recreational league cheer squads. All of the students who met their goal was recognized.
