On Friday the Jay High Student Government Association hosted local Veterans to a donut breakfast, followed by a “Patriot Walk” then finally a school wide assembly. Former Air Force Colonel and Santa Rosa County Commissioner Dave Piech was the keynote speaker for the event.
Sophomore and first year golfer Presley Hawthorne made it to the regional golf tournament last week in Tallahassee at Golden Eagle Country Club. Hawthorne placed 51st out of 71 golfers.

The Jay High SGA and FFA had the field trip of a lifetime on Thursday as they traveled to Pensacola NAS to watch a special joint airshow with the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds.
The Town of Jay held their annual Trick or Treat in the Street on Halloween night on Commerce Street. A huge turnout was greeted by several vendors. The event is free and included a costume contest.
