Thornton and Mulford at State

Jillian Thornton and Carissa Mulford are representing JHS today at the IMG Academy, host of this year’s FHSAA State Track and Field Championships. Carissa was the Region 1 champion in discuss last week. Jillian finished 4th in high jump. Check back today for results. Carissa Mulford threw 107′ and placed 7th.

Watson places 3rd at State

Jay High School’s Haylee Watson placed 3rd with a total weight of 320 at State Weightlifting Competition.Haylee is the first girl from Jay High to place at the state level.  Way to go!!

Watson Medals at State

Haylee Watson placed 3rd place at the FHSAA State weightlifting meet. The meet was held in Ocala, FL. Watson totaled 320lbs. (165 in bench/ 155 in clean and jerk) Pictured with Haylee are Jay’s head football coach and her weightlifting coach, Melvin Kersey, and Jay’s athletic director Lance Youngblood.
