Santa Rosa School District Scores An “A”

Santa Rosa County District Schools has once again earned an A rating. Fifteen schools earned an A grade and five schools increased their letter grade.

The FFA State Convention has been held this week in Orlando. Isabella Seevers was elected District 1 President at the event as well. JHS Alum Ryleigh Diamond also received her State FFA Degree.

Jay Student Wins Big

Malarie Cooper, a Jay student, and her steer “Taz” won a state wide contest for “Steer of the Year.” The winner was chosen by votes via social media. Malarie and “Taz” won by just seven votes. Over 10,000 votes were tallied. Congratulations Malarie!

Baseball/Softball Update

Baseball The Jay Royals (17-11) will be moving on in the FHSAA Playoffs to face Holmes County (22-4) for the Regional Championship next week.
