JHS FFA Banquet

South 22-On Thursday, Jay High’s FFA held their annual award banquet. A meal was provided, awards were given, and seniors were recognized. Sponsor Kaylen Findley expressed her pride in this year’s group as many are competing at the state FFA competition in Orlando in June.

JHS Sports Banquet

This year’s sports’ banquet will be held in the JHS Auditorium at 6pm on Friday, 5/21. There will be no food served.

Royals Baseball Eliminated

Holmes County-Jay traveled to Bonifay on Friday night to face Holmes County in the first round of the FHSAA playoffs. Holmes County (19-8) won the pitcher’s duel 3-2 over the Royals (13-9).

JHS Brings Home a State Champion

Jillian Thornton, a senior, won the FHSAA State Championship in high jump at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville on Friday. The winning height was 5’4”. Isaac Black also medaled. He placed 8th in pole vault. Landry Cato also made an appearance at the state level representing JHS. Great job Royals!
