JV boys started the action on the court tonight, falling behind in the first. But the Royals came back strong in the following quarters to take the lead. It was an exciting and close game but the Royals came out on top 40-36. Victor Mishoe led in scoring for the Royals with 17 points.

7th and 8th grade students at Jay High have been exploring Sumi-e art in Ms. Teresa Hendricks’ art class this week. Today the students listened to Japanese music and created some beautiful artwork.

Jay High’s Competition Cheer Squad competed in the FHSAA Regionals Saturday morning in Jacksonville. The squad placed in the top five, qualifing them for the State competition to be held in Orlando February 1st.
Jay High’s has released testing schedules. January 16th students will be 1st,3rd, 5th period testing, followed by lunch, 2nd and 4th periods ending the day January 17th- 2nd, 4th, and 6th period testing followed by lunch, 1st, and 3rd period ending the day. During summer camp three Jr. Varsity cheerleaders at Jay High were selected as All- American cheerleaders. This qualified them to participate in a Disney’s Thanksgiving parade in Orlando.
