Wreaths Across America in Jay

Saturday, December 16th was Wreaths Across America and the Town of Jay did their part. A group of almost 25 volunteers put out wreaths at the Jay Cemetary, Cora Baptist, Mt. Carmel, and Berrydale on Veterans’ gravesides.

“The Town of Jay is proud to host this program honoring Veterans,” stated Town Operations Manager Eric Seib. “We hope to expand the number of cemeteries we support next year.”

Matt Dobson also played a vital role in the event. “As a former military Army chaplain, we were taught to do three things: nurture, the Living, care for the wounded, honor the dead. We did part of that today,” Dobson stated. “We honored our passed military service members with these memorial wreaths.”
