Rural Broadband Update

Thursday-Kyle Holley, Santa Rosa Liaison overseeing the rural broadband project for the county, held a meeting at the Santa Rosa Extension Office with members of rural communities. Conexon, the company working exclusively with EREC, had a representative to meet with the group and give an update. The big news coming out of the meeting was that everything is still on schedule; completion being in 2025 to all EREC customers. Prices will range for high speed internet from $49-$99 a month, depending on the speed chosen. Conexon is running 20-40 miles of cable a week in the EREC footprint.
There were approximately 50 in attendance at the meeting.
