Florida Power and Light Solar Power Ribbon Cutting

Wednesday-Florida Power and Light held a ribbon cutting event in East Milton to celebrate their first solar energy farm in Santa Rosa County. The “solar farm” produces enough energy for 55,000 homes in the county.

The local 4-H group also received a check for $5,000 and it was announced that FPL was the new official sponsor of the popular 4-H speaking contest for grades 4-6.
