Jay’s Alayna Lowery Signs With UWF

JHS- On Monday, Jay High’s Alayna Lowery signed a letter of intent to play softball for the University of West Florida. “It is always a great day when a player from our programs signs a college scholarship, but it’s extra special when it’s to our local powerhouse college!” stated head coach Brian Watson. Lowery, who plays 1st and 3rd base for the Royals hit .393 last year and is looking to improve on that this year, in hopes of winning the coveted state championship. Last year, the Lady Royals fell to Trenton in the championship, 5-4.  Lowery had 36 RBI’s and  8 home runs last year, 2nd highest on the team.
