Public meeting on Metron Estates drainage improvements

A public meeting for residents of Metron Estates to share flooding experiences and concerns will be held on Thurs., Apr. 5 at 6 p.m. in the Santa Rosa County Administrative Center boardroom at 6495 Caroline Street in Milton. Those attending will learn specifics about the proposed improvements, including the extent of the retrofit activities, location of proposed stormwater pond, location of required drainage easements and project schedule.
Metron Estates residents who have not yet submitted their questionnaires, flooding pictures and claim documentation are encouraged to do so as soon as possible or to bring copies of documents to the public meeting. If residents need an additional copy of the questionnaire is needed, a PDF is available online.

Pegasus Engineering has been retained to design drainage improvements for the Metron Estates area. A grant application for the project will be submitted to FEMA for funding consideration in August 2018.
