Council considers permanent slow speed, minimum wake for Riverwalk area

MILTON, FL March 7, 2017 During the March 6, 2017 Executive Committee meeting the Milton City Council voted to consider permanently activating the slow speed, minimum wake zones for boater restricted zones 2 C and 2 D. This area encompasses the portion of the Blackwater River 500’ from the north end of the Riverwalk board walk to 300’ south of the CSX train trestle. 

A boating-restricted area in this case means an area of the waters of the state within which the operation of vessels is subject to specified restrictions. The restriction is defined as Slow Speed Minimum Wake.
