Winnie Lois McCurdy

Winnie Lois (Calhoun) McCurdy, age 83 of Dixonville, Florida, passed away on June 9th, 2016. She was born on January 2nd, 1933 to Ira and Nona Calhoun. Winnie Lois was preceded by her parents, her husband Melvin McCurdy, and 10 of her brothers and sisters. She leaves behind her son David McCurdy, a brother, a sister, 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Winnie Lois lived a very simple and quiet life. She was an outstanding cook and will always be remembered by those who knew her as someone whose table was always open to anyone who would join. She also enjoyed gardening and growing many varieties of flowers that she would give to anyone who she thought would enjoy them. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2016 from 1-2 pm at Berrydale Baptist Church. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm with Bro. Robert Gandy and Bro. Ernie Calhoun officiating. Burial will follow at Dixonville Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jason McCurdy, Bryan McCurdy, Aubrey Phillips, Bill Thompson, Mike Crawley, and Rabun Bethea.
