Milton High School presented with Golden NFL Football
The National Football League, to commemorate Super Bowl 50, sent gold painted footballs to each high school where one (or more) of their former athletes have participated in a Super Bowl. Coaches and athletic directors from Santa Rosa County and Escambia County met on Tuesday at Escambia High School for a photo and a story with Pensacola News Journal. The only high school in north Santa Rosa County that received the ball was Milton High School. Players for Milton that have played in a Super Bowl are Lawrence Tynes(New York Giants 2008), Elijah Williams(Atlanta Falcons, 1999) Cortland Finnegan ( Carolina, 2016). Gulf Breeze was the only other Santa Rosa County school to receive the award. Tate, Northview(Century High School), Escambia, Washington, Woodham, and Catholic all represented Escambia County.
