Suspect Arrested for Child Abuse
On 9/11/15, Detectives with the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office responded to complaint involving Joshua White, a SRSO Deputy. Supervisors and Detectives reviewed allegations concerning a child abuse incident.
According to the investigation, there were allegations of injuries to the minor child. As Supervisors reviewed the case, it was determined there was sufficient probable cause to arrest the suspect on the charges of child abuse.
The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office charged the suspect and he was arrested then taken to the Santa Rosa County Jail where he was placed on a bond.
The suspect was relieved of all law enforcement duties and was placed on Administrative leave as per Sheriff’s Office procedures. An internal investigation will also ensue after criminal charges are concluded. The suspension from duty will remain in effect until a complete and through administrative review in completed.

(1) Count –Third degree felony Child Abuse without great bodily harm.
