Active Shooter Training Exercise Tomorrow

Pensacola, Fla. – The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, Escambia County Schools and Escambia County Fire and EMS will be conducting a joint training exercise at Woodham Middle School, 150 E. Burgess Road, starting at 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 11.
The training scenario will portray an active shooter on the school campus. This exercise will allow law enforcement, public safety and school administrators to understand how their procedures work, how each department interacts during this kind of situation and identify areas of the response that may need to be improved.
The School District will use its phone alert program to notify parents in the area around Woodham about this training exercise. People living, working and traveling by the middle school will notice the training activity until approximately 12:30 p.m.
