WEEKLY ACTIVITIES AT THE MILTON COMMUNITY CENTER

The following activities are scheduled to occur the week of July 7 – July 11 at the Milton Community Center. All activities are free and open to the public unless a fee is indicated.

Monday – July 7

9 a.m. – Cards and games for seniors. Come out and enjoy games and refreshments at the Milton Community Center. This is a free activity.

Tuesday – July 8

8:30 a.m. to noon – Pickleball: come play a game similar to tennis, but not on nearly as big of a court and not nearly as fast. Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in America and you are welcome to come out and give it a try. (FREE)

Wednesday – July 9

8:30 a.m. to noon – Senior Volleyball. This is a co-ed activity for seniors and everyone is welcome to come out and enjoy the event or look to become a participant. (FREE)

9 a.m. to noon – Artist gathering: If you paint, draw or sketch you are invited to the Milton Community Center to practice your art among other artist in a fun and relaxing atmosphere. (FREE)

2 p.m. – Ballroom Dancing: Learn the popular dance steps to the Samba, Salsa, and other popular ball room dances. Class is $5.

Thursday – July 10

6 p.m. – Panhandle Writers Group Meeting: Meet with area writers to critique and offer opinions on written works such as short stories, poems, and parts of books. (FREE)

6:30 p.m. – Line Dancing: Practice your dance steps in the Milton Community Center. A fun enjoyable way to get some exercise. Class is $5.

Friday – July 11

8:30 a.m. to noon – Senior Volleyball. This is a co-ed activity for seniors and everyone is welcome to come out and enjoy the event or look to become a participant. (FREE)

noon – Cards and games for seniors. Come out and enjoy games and refreshments at the Milton Community Center. This is a free activity.

6 p.m. – Bands on the Blackwater. The City of Milton has continued its nine week concert series that will feature Category 4 this week. Category 4 is a seasoned and dedicated group of musicians who play a variety of music and live by the motto of “Live Music That Blows You Away”.
