Charges in Death of Toddler

Pensacola, Fla. – Sheldon Cleavon Salter, 28, of Pensacola has been charged with 1 count of culpable negligence in the death of his 2 year old son on March 1, 2014. Salter left a loaded firearm within the reach of the child, making it capable of inflicting the injury that subsequently resulted in his death. Salter was also charged with 1 count of drug paraphernalia in the incident which occurred in the 1500 block of Fairfield Drive.
