Volunteers needed for Special Olympics Tennis

Are you looking for a way to give back to others and reconnect with your community?  You could use your skills to change lives by being a volunteer coach for Special Olympics! Volunteers are vital to the Special Olympics movement; they enable us to offer sports training and competition while providing our athletes the opportunity to grow and showcase their skills. Athletes and their caregivers are never charged a fee to participate. Special Olympics Florida- Santa Rosa County invites you to participate in this unique partnership with Special Olympics to celebrate diversity and promote inclusion in our community.

A new Special Olympics tennis program is launching in Milton and volunteer coaches are needed.  Knowledge of the sport of tennis is great, but not required.  Training will be held for one hour per week, on Saturdays (time of day to be determined based on availability of volunteer coaches) and the season will run for approx. 12 weeks.  The beautiful new tennis courts at the Milton Community Center will be utilized for this program.

Our program can only exist with the time, energy, dedication, and commitment of volunteers. No matter how much or how little time you have to give, when you volunteer, you will be making a difference in the lives of athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
