WINTER STORM UPDATE

Escambia County Emergency Management Officials continue to monitor winter weather conditions effect Escambia County.

As a reminder, bridges and overpasses ice over before roadways. Every major bridge and roadway in Escambia County is either closed or experiencing major issues and even neighborhood streets are icy and dangerous.

Traveling local roadways at this time can be a life threatening decision. Public Safety urges you to stay home.

The Pensacola International Airport has ceased aircraft operations due to accumulation of ice and decreased traction on the runways. Scheduled passengers are encouraged to check real-time flight information at flypensacola.com or check directly with their airline. An update from Pensacola International Airport is expected at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 29.
Any residents experiencing gas service problems should call Pensacola Energy customer service line at (850) 474-5300.

Gulf Power is still experiencing outages throughout Escambia County. Crews have been working diligently throughout the night to restore power for residents to restore power. Customers experiencing problems may call Gulf Power’s customer service line at 1 (800) 225-5797 or visit mygulfpower.com from a tablet or smart phone for assistance.

The Emerald Coast Utilities Authority will not provide sanitation collections today and pick up schedules today will be delayed one day once services resume tomorrow, Thursday, January 30. Please bring trash cans indoors and secure them as wind gusts could reach 15 to 20 mph today.
