Jay Woman injured in Hwy 4 Crash

The icy weather is being blamed for a accident on Hwy 4 yesterday. The report states that Kasey Brown, of Jay was traveling east on SR4. The second vehicle driven by Larry M. Wiebel, of Moline, IL ,was traveling west on SR4  As the two vehicles neared each other just west of Market Rd, Ms. Brown’s vehicle lost traction and began to fishtail. Rotating counter-clockwise, her Ford Focus crossed over into the westbound lane.  As both vehicles traveled off the north side of the  roadway, they collided and came to rest in the concrete drainage portion of the ditch.

Ms. Brown was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital and is listed in critical condition.  Mr. Wiebel and his passenger, Ms. Sherry Hergert were transported to  Santa Rosa Medical and are listed in minor and serious condition.
