Jay’s Christmas Basketball Tournament underway
The girls and boys Christmas tournament at Jay High started last night. In the first game Central defeated Gulf Breeze to advance to tonight’s championship game. In the second game, Jay defeated Northview 53-50. Scoring for Jay: Hillary Hendricks, 11; Taylor Moore, 9; Carissa Mulford, 8; Emily Dobson 8; Emily Russell 7; Paige Smith 6; Katie Baker and Destiny Herring with 2 each.
In boys action, Central dominated over PCA to advance to tonight’s championship game . In the final game of the night the Royals beat Uriah 52-48. Scoring for the Royals: Thomas Fischer, 22; Taylor Kelley, 11; Tate Upton, 7; Justice Garcia, 4; Marshall Thomas & Eric Trevino with 3 each; Holden McCaskill & Victor Mishoe with 1 each.
In action tonight, Gulf Breeze girls will face Northview at 3:00, followed by PCA boys/Uriah. Then the championship girls game (Central vs. Jay) will kick off at 6:00 followed by the boys championship game (Central vs. Jay)
So get on out to the Jay High gym for some great basketball today.
