Jay’s boys beat Rocky Bayou in the last seconds
The JV and Varsity boys basketball teams faced Rocky Bayou on Saturday. The junior varsity started off by defeating the knights before the varsity took the court. Jay jumped out to a 20-5 lead after the first quarter. The knights fought back to tie the game with only 3.1 seconds left on the clock. Taylor Kelley hit a three as the clock ran out to give the Royals the win. Scoring for the Royals were Thomas Fischer with 18, Taylor Kelley with 13, Marshal Thomas with 10, Eric Trevino with 5, Tate Upton and Victor Mishoe with 4 each, and Justice Garcia with 2.
The Royals will face Tate tomorrow at Jay.
