David Ates

Jimmie “David” Ates Sr.,68 of Berrydale, passed away on January 17,2013. He was born on February 17, 1944 in Brewton, Alabama. He lived most of his life in Santa Rosa county. He worked for many years in the logging industry.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years,Clara Ates of Berrydale, his son, Jimmie Ates Jr of Berrydale, and his grandchildren Autumn Ates, Jimmie Ates III, and Mikayla Ates.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jason Ates, his parents, Jim and Ethel Ates, his sister, Faye Jackson, and his brother, Vance Ates.
Funeral services will be held Sunday January 27,2013 at 2pm at Lewis Funeral Home in Milton. Interment will follow at Berrydale Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 until the time of service.
