Once complete, the project will greatly improve safety and traffic flow to the area. The project is expected to be complete in early spring.

The Santa Rosa County Board of Commissioners approved the project in January 2011. The project is estimated to cost $1.9 million andwill be funded 50 percent, not to exceed $1 million, by the Florida Department of Transportation for construction, engineering and inspection.
