On 12-16-12 at approximately 1030 hours, Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 6500 block of Julia Drive, Milton, FL in reference to a drive by shooting. The victim, as well as other witnesses, told deputies that a 80’s model light blue Chevy Caprice was seen driving past the victim’s house. On the last pass, the victim observed the passenger of the Caprice (Gregory Omar Johnson, B/M, 27 years old) hanging out the passenger side door, armed with a handgun. Johnson then fired approximately four (4) shots at the victim, who was standing near a vehicle in his driveway. The victim, an adult male who is not being identified at this time, fell to the ground to avoid being shot. The vehicle then sped off, being driven by Johnson’s girlfriend and co-suspect, Barbara Leann Baggett (W/F, 24 years old). Deputies located a bullet hole in the victim’s vehicle, and also located a bullet projectile in the same area. The incident is believed to be retaliation for an incident that occurred in Escambia County on Friday, involving the arrest Johnson’s cousin.

Warrants have been issued on both suspects for the following charges: Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, Discharging a Firearm in Public, Firing a Weapon into a Dwelling or Vehicle. Johnson also faces the additional charge of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Both suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.
