Commissioners Sworn in, Chair and Vice-Chair Selected 

At November’s Santa Rosa County Board of  CountyCommissioner’s reorganization meeting, District 1 Commissioner Jim Williamson, District 3 Commissioner Don Salter, and District 5 Commissioner Lane Lynchard took the oath of office administered by Santa Rosa County Judge Robert Hilliard. The board also selected District 2 Commissioner Bob Cole as board chair and District 4 Commissioner Jim Melvin as board vice-chair.

 Each November, the Santa Rosa County Board of Commissioners holds a reorganization meeting where any newly elected or re-elected board members are sworn in and the board selects a chair and vice-chair. Commissioners Williamson, Salter and Lynchard were re-elected in August to serve an additional four year term. Commissioners Cole and Melvin will serve in their respective board leadership positions for one year.
