Jay’s first home games of the season
JV and Varisty girls faced the Flomaton Hurricanes , followed by both boys teams. The first game started at 3:00 and the last at 7:15, for a full evening of great basketball with three of the four Jay teams winning.
JV girls scored 38 points in their game. S. Cerqueina led with 10, Tagert-8, Prescott -8, Mack and Agrait with 4 each, James and Herring each had a basket.
Varsity girls scored 32. Hendricks led with 9, followed by Russell with 6, Mulford-5, and Dobson, Moore, and Upton with 4 each.
JV boys totaled 38 points led by Victor Mishoe with 17 points. Archer, Nash, and Carnley added 4 points each. Kemp hit a 3 and Odom, Sapp, and Brewton had a basket each.
Varsity boys played a solid game defeating the Canes 60-48. Trevino led with 16 points, followed by Upton with 14, and Kelley with 11. Thomas added 9, Garcia 6, Fischer 2. MaCaskill and Lassiter had 1 each.
The girls teams are under the leadership of Paul Grover and Rhett Rowell. The boys were led by Scott Campbell and new head coach Jacob Jordan.
