Senator Greg Evers Celebrates Re-election to Florida Senate District 2 Seat

Baker, Fla. – Senator Greg Evers tonight celebrated his re-election to the Florida Senate to represent the residents of the newly-drawn Florida Senate District 2, which consists of Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa Counties.

“I would like to thank the wonderful people of our new Senate District 2 for their trust and support throughout this election cycle,” said Senator Evers. “It is my great honor to continue to represent our Northwest Florida communities in the Florida Senate, and make sure that our unique needs and interests are getting the attention they deserve.”

“Our local industries have the potential to help turn Florida’s economy around and get us back on the road to the recovery our families, small businesses and employers are hurting for,” said Senator Evers. “Today, I am honored to renew my commitment to protecting the personal rights and freedoms of all Floridians, supporting our conservative principles to build stronger families and safer communities, and helping create the economic and regulatory environment our businesses need to be able to grow, create jobs and jumpstart our economy.”

“I have always believed in homegrown faith and good old fashioned hard work,” said Senator Evers. “And together, we will work for our collective prosperity.”

Prior to his re-election to the Florida Senate, Senator Evers represented the residents of the prior Florida Senate District 2 seat, which included parts of Escambia, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Washington, Bay, Holmes, and Walton Counties. He is a farmer and small businessman who was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2001, was subsequently re-elected, and elected to the Florida Senate in 2010. Evers has put his experience in agriculture and business to good use in the Florida Legislature and is proud of his legislative accomplishments on behalf of Florida’s critical agriculture industry, economic development and job creation, and Second Amendment issues.
