Covenant Hospice co-sponsors free advance directive planning event for community
Covenant Hospice will be co-sponsoring an outreach event to help individuals in the community better understand and create an advance directive. The event will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18 at Century Care Center, located at 6020 Industrial Blvd.
The outreach event will give attendees the opportunity to receive information about the process of creating an advance directive and the importance of expressing one’s wishes and preferences for future health care. It is important for all persons to have an advance directive, regardless of present health status. Representatives will also be available to discuss living wills, legal Do Not Resuscitate Orders and durable powers of attorney. This free event is sponsored by the Northwest Florida Rural Health Network in conjunction with Century Care Center, Steven Quinnell , P.A. and Covenant Hospice. The event is open to the public and light refreshments will be served.
Registration for this event is requested. If you would like to register or learn more, please contact Mioshei Mobley at 561-9182.
