Vandalism at Coon Hill Cemetery
On 10/09/12 shortly after noon, deputies were dispatched to Coon Hill Cemetery (Coon Hill Cemetery Road, off of Lee Morris Road in Chumuckla) in reference to vandalism of gravesites. Deputies found that an unknown suspect or suspects knocked over 13 headstones, breaking one. This cemetery has been the target of numerous acts of vandalism in the past. Anyone with any further information concerning the identity of the suspect/s is asked to contact the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office at 983- 1190, or Santa Rosa Crime Stoppers at 437-STOP (7867).
