Traffic Shift Planned for Avalon Boulevard
Traffic Shift Planned for Avalon Boulevard
Avalon Boulevard in Milton will be reduced to one lane from south of Moors Oak Drive to Highland Brae Boulevard from 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18 to 6 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19 to allow crews to place asphalt for a temporary detour. Once the work is complete, both north and southbound traffic will be shifted on to the newly constructed northbound roadway and reconstruction of the current southbound lanes will begin. Variable Message Boards will be utilized to alert drivers of the change in the traffic pattern.
Motorists are reminded to pay attention to the speed limit, watch for traffic flaggers when traveling through the construction area, and to use caution, especially at night when driving in work zones.
Construction activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather. For more Florida Department of Transportation District Three information follow us on twitter @myfdot_nwfl.
