Rivals Collide on the Court
The Central Lady Jags hosted rival Jay High Lady Royals Tuesday night in a district Volleyball match-up. The fans for both teams showed up, dressed up and cheered on the teams.
The Central JV won the first game against the Lady Royals 25-20. The Junior Lady Royals fought back to win the second and third games; thus winning the match.
Central’s varsity also jumped ahead in the first game of the match. They were able to put up a string of 10 unanswered points (Haleigh Padgett, serving) and maintained their lead winning the first game. The Lady Royals found a groove, built a lead and held on to it to win the second, third and fourth game to take the match.
