Two Lose Their Lives in Area Accidents
Traffic accidents in the last week have claimed two lives. An elderly couple traveling on Avalon Blvd. in Milton lost control of their vehicle, ended up crossing a ditch filled with water, and the passenger died later in the hospital due to injuries received in the accident. James Reeves, 88, of Polk City, was driving a Lincoln Towncar and his wife, Helen Marie Reeves was his passenger. This accident was Tuesday, August 14 at 11:20 am.
In a separate accident, in Crestview along State Rd. 123 a young driver over corrected, hit an oncoming vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. 17 year old Markos Papadopoulos, of Crestview was driving a 1992 Mazda when he ran onto the west grassy shoulder of the road. James Hendrix II, the driver of the second vehicle, is listed in serious condition. The accident occurred at 3:40 on Friday, August 17, 2012.
