Florida Chief Justice visits Santa Rosa Clerk’s office
Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice Ricky Polston and State Courts Administrator Lisa Goodner visited the Santa Rosa County Courthouse on Monday, August 6, to see the paperless court system that Clerk Mary Johnson, working together with County Judge Robert Hilliard, has established. The presenters were Clerk Johnson’s staff along with Judge Hilliard.
The presentations covered electronic court records from submission through the ePortal up to case adjudication by the judges in the courtroom. Also demonstrated, were the real-time transfer of documents into the Clerk’s case maintenance system, real-time upload into the Comprehensive Case Maintenance System and transfer of copies into the judiciary’s case management system.
The presentations were well received and Clerk Johnson noted that her office was receiving documents electronically for all ten civil and criminal divisions and that significant increases in efficiency were being realized in file management, document storage and retrieval.
For more information, please contact Hon. Mary Johnson at (850) 983-1973.
