Training Wheels Open House

Training Wheels of NorthWest Florida will host an Open House on August 25, 2012 from 10 am to 12 pm. “Giving Quality Care to Our Future Leaders” is more than a motto, it is an everyday occurrence.  They are able to serve both Escambia and Santa Rosa County, Florida.  Welcoming new residents from Century, McDavid and surrounding areas.  They are able to provide VPK (voluntary Pre-Kindgeraten) and subsidized childcare to these areas.

The Open House will have free grilled hotdogs, drinks and more for everyone.  They will have door prizes for both adults and children.  The Open House will have several booths

  • Barbara McMillion, RN – Santa Rosa County Health Department, will be present with educational materials on childhood Immunizations, Diseases and other important information regarding children’s Health and Wellness.
  • Susan King -“Families Count” representing “Florida Kids Care” will be available to help parents who qualify to receive affordable Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance for their children.  You must be a Florida resident in Santa Rosa or Escambia County.
  • Representative from Escambia and Santa Rosa Early Learning Coalition will be available to inform parents of their VPK program and subsidized childcare in the State of Florida.  They will be able to discuss qualifications of assisted childcare program in information on signing up.
  • The Mason’s – A representative from the Masonic Child ID program will be available to make Identification Video’s of your child in case of a kidnapping or missing child.  This is in collaboration with the Sheriff’s Office and the Videos are made by the Sheriff’s  Office specification for missing children.  the video will be given to the parents that day and FREE of Charge!

The entire community is invited to drop by and take advantage of these programs -all free of charge.  You are welcome to visit the new enlarged VPK classroom and sign up for VPK if you have not done so.  VPK  will begin on August 20th, but applications will continue to be taken.  Your child must be 4 years old before September 1, 2012 to qualify.

Training Wheels invite all to come in a view the regular rooms :

  • birth to 1 yr
  • 1-2 yr
  • 3 yr
  • VPK for 4 yrs
  • Before and after school care for 5 and up
