Political Rally Draws a Big Crowd

The Jay Historical Society hosted a political rally Saturday, July 28, at The Bray-Hendricks (Jay City) Park.
An actual stump was used to represent old-fashioned rallies from years past and some of the candidates actually used the stump as a platform for their 3 to 5 minute speeches.
All the candidates from county commissioners, to sheriff, to supervisor of elections, etc. were represented and provided an excellent opportunity to get to know each and everyone.
In attendance were interested voters and their families from throughout Santa Rosa County; as well as candidates and their families.
Primary early voting can be done August 4-11 (8:30-5:30 pm, Sat. – Sat.)
Primary Election will be August 14.
General Early Voting – Oct. 27-Nov. 3 (7 am to 7 pm, Sat. – Sat.)
General Election – November 6.
During the event, The Historical Society held a fish fry/plate sale; and cookbook sale to raise money. If you would like to learn more about the Jay Historical Society or to donate, you can go to their website at JayHistoricalSociety.org.
