Training Wheels -Expanding VPK
Training Wheels is expanding their VPK program and now serving Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. Training Wheels is located at 3749 Hwy 4 in Jay. This location makes it possible and convienent for residents to bring their children to VPK. With the addition of a large classroom they will be able to accommodate 40 students in VPK . The learning center will offer two classes – one from 8 until 11 am and the second will begin at 11:30 and continue until 2:30 pm. Each class will have a Lead teacher and an assistant teacher. With four successful years with the VPK program, the owner, Debbie Hayes, is pleased to be able to offer more children the opportunity to grow and learn? She invites everyone to come to the open house on August 25th. There will be food, prizes and more especially booths set up to help parents with healthcare, immunizations, and identification information.
To be eligible for VPK the child has to be 4 years old before September 1, 2012. At Training Wheels they are able to work with parents to help them find the right financial assistance and coordinate with scheduling between VPK and daycare. With the opportunity for parents qualifying for subsidized funding some may pay as little as 50 cents a day. They work with children from 6 weeks to the age of 12.
