EREC Restores Power – Works on Damaged Lines
The Escambia River Electric Cooperative restored powers quickly to those in and near Jay on Tuesday afternoon. A short thunderstorm knocked the top out of a tree and onto the power lines in front of old Jay High School on Alabama St. EREC crews worked quickly to restore power but continue to repair down lines. The road is temporarily closed and cars are detouring through the school bus lane.
