The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a theft of money from vending machines at the Publix Grocery Store and OOPS Alley in Pace, the evening of June 7, 2012. The suspect, a white male, with short blond hair, wearing brown camouflage cargo type shorts, white tee shirt, and white tennis shoes, was observed by witnesses at 8:10 pm standing next to the coin machine at OOPS Alley. The suspect began twisting the knob on the door to the coin machine using some type of tool. The suspect opened the door to the coin machine and removed two gray colored money cartridges, walked out the door and took off running towards Highway 90.
Approximately one hour later, the same suspect was observed at the Publix Grocery Store in Pace standing next to the coke machine. The suspect then removed unknown items from his pocket and opened the door to the coke machine. The suspect then removed the money box out of the coke machine and exited Publix through the front door.
