Teams from Alabama, Louisiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Georgia, Tennessee and Texas will participate in the U.S. Club Soccer-sanctioned tournament, sponsored since 2007 by.Perdido Bay Futbol Club, a non-profit group. Select and Premier teams will compete in age groups ranging from Under10 to Under 19.
Perdido Key Visitors Center will offer coupons and deals for visitors, tournament participants and families to use during their stay. They include discounts on lodging and accommodations, free breakfast for kids, and more. The annual tournament is especially welcome during the post-Labor Day “shoulder season” when tourism traditionally drops off along the Gulf Coast.
Teams can save $50 by registering before Aug. 1. Registration for the FloraBama Soccer Showcase is officially open through August 31, but any team that registers and pays before August 1 will receive $50 off registration fees. Cost varies by division and ranges from $450-$550 per team. For more information or a complete list of tournament venues and schedules, visit www.florabamashowcase.com.
