Commissioners, Constitutional Officers to Discuss Budget at Workshop

The Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners will hold a pre-budget workshop on Monday, June 11 at 1:30 p.m. in the commission meeting room located at 6495 Caroline Street in Milton. The meeting offers the board and other constitutional officers an opportunity to ask questions and discuss issues that will impact the upcoming fiscal year 2012-2013 budget.

The budget process also includes the county administrator submitting a tentative budget to the board of county commissioners by Friday, July 13, an additional public budget workshop with constitution officers and board of county commissioner departments on Tuesday, July 24, and two public hearings – the first on Tuesday, September 4 at 6 p.m. and the final on Monday, September 17 at 6 p.m. before the fiscal year 2012-2013 is finalized and approved by the board. All meetings are open to the public and held in the commission meeting room located at 6445 Caroline Street. The meetings are also streamed lived and available for replay at www.santarosa.fl.gov.
