Chumuckla Elem has Volunteer Appreciation
Chumuckla Elementary recognized their volunteers Friday morning at a Volunteer Appreciation. ” We have the most amazing volunteers that give of their time, money, and love and we appreciate each and every one of them.”, stated Ms. Dunn. They had a total of 45 volunteers that volunteered 2,573 hours this year so far! Volunteers help with everything from the monthly “Trading Post” <school store>, to school wide events such as Field Day, Water Day, Colonial Day and Career Day. They also spend time in classrooms reading with individual and small groups of students, giving so much attention and caring and that ‘little extra’ that the teachers would love to spend with each student but just do not always have the time. These fantastic volunteers also help with office work, bulletin boards and anything else asked of them! ” We couldn’t do all we do for our students without these amazing people!!”, said Principal, Sherry Smith.
