Get Started at PSC Century Center
The area has a unique opportunity with Pensacola State College now having a center at Century. The PSC Century Center is located on Hecker Rd. (in the old Carver/Century School). They offer many classes and continuing education classes on site. There is also a computer lab so students can take on-line courses, research, type etc. Paula Jernigan, Director, is on-site along with her staff to assist you in registration, financial aid, testing, and advising. They offer college-credit courses,certificate programs, dual enrollment, adult education, cosmetology, nursing, electrical, computer technology and more. Some Continuing Education classes offered this summer at the Century Center is:
Drawing 1 Tuesday nights 05/29 – 06/19 and 07/10-07/31 cost$38 Instructor will be Deborah Godwin and this course will begin with basic pen and ink drawing with watercolor pencils to acrylic painting.
Kids Paint Sunshyn Monday mornings 07/09-07/30 cost $25 Instructor will be Deborah Godwin and will be a series of acrylic paintings that feature creatures from the outdoors using a limited sunshine colored palette.
Paint Gardens Fridays 07/13-08/03 cost $40 Instructor will be Deborah Godwin and this course is learning how to paint flowers in acrylic.
Paint Sea Turtles Fridays 06/15-07/06 Cost $38 Instructor will be Deborah Godwin and the course is to learn how to paint sea turtles in acrylic.
Paint the Beach Fridays 05/25-06/08 Cost $40 Instructor will be Deborah Godwin and designed to improve painting of beach scenes. Create acrylic paintings with palm trees, old fences, and water views.
Chocolate Cake Saturday 06/16 cost $25 Learn how to create flexible designer fudge and use chocolate for non-traditional cake creations.
Dog Manners Saturdays 05/19-06/23 Cost $38 for an additional person cost is $20 The course is to teach basic obedience for the family dog using primarily positive techniques including sit, down, stay, come, leash walking and house manners. (additional handler of the dog is welcome at a reduced price)
