Central Goes to Second Round
The Central Jaguars go to the second round in the District 1 Tournament after defeating Poplar Springs 15-2 on Tuesday night. Coach Mike Roberts stated, “A win in the district tournament is a big win, a good win. You have to win the first game to get to the second. We had a few mistakes, mistakes we can’t make against Malone.” The Jaguars combined to get 13 hits on the night. “We hit the ball, with hits throughout the line up, we had good productive outs, made good contact and rolled the baseball” , said Ch. Roberts.
The Jaguars will travel for the next round. Central will play Malone at Malone on Thursday night. The game is scheduled for 6 pm.
