Royals Drop a Game to Holmes County
The Jay High Royals lost to Holmes County on Thursday night 6-5. The Royals had a 5-3 lead in the seventh and then fell behind 6-5. The Royals still ended the district in 2 nd place and will get a bye the first round of the tournament. Sammy James pitched a fantastic game in relief. Hitters were: Todd Laney 2-4, 1RBI; Hunter Vaughn 3-4, RBI; and Tate Upton was 2-3.
