Baptist Health Care Celebrates Volunteer Appreciation Week

PENSACOLA, Fla. (April 12, 2012) – Banners have been hung at the various Baptist Health Care facilities to begin next week’s appreciation for our volunteers. National Volunteer Appreciation Week is April 15 through April 21. However, we are thankful for our volunteers all year long.

“Our volunteers with Baptist Health Care are so kind and helpful,” Kathy Larsen, director of volunteer services, Baptist Hospital, states, “these individuals spend hours of their time assisting and helping others in need. They are such an asset to the organization and we are so appreciative to have them.”

Baptist Health Care’s volunteers completed 73,749 hours of service this past fiscal year. It’s safe to say that Baptist’s volunteers stay busy and freely give their time to help serve the community. These dedicated individuals enhance patient and client health care experience by providing the service excellence for which our organization is known.

Do you have some free time and want to be a part of life-changing experiences? We are always looking for more volunteers. For more information on Volunteer Services call 850.434.4080.
