Pedalcyclist Hit on Hwy 90

Kenneth Barnes, 42 of Holt, FL , driving a 1991 Chevrolet S10 was westbound on U.S.90. Pedalcycle ridden by John Paul Kirk, 41 of Milton,  was westbound in the bike lane. Barnes was attempting to change lanes into the right turn lane.  Barnes  failed to observe the pedalcyclist,  as he changed lanes the left front of the pickup struck the pedalcyclist in the rear.  The Accident happened on March 27,  at 5:35 pm.  The pedalcyclist was wearing dark clothing and the pedalcycle had no lights.  Kirk was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in serious condition.  John Kirk was charged with no or improper lights.
