Royals Fall to Undefeated Bonifay At Home
The JHS Royals fell 6-1 to Bonifay Tuesday night. Bonifay continues to lead the district, going undefeated. The game was scoreless until the fourth when both teams scored one run. Then Bonifay was able to string some action together and scored three runs. Will Thompson, for Bonifay, was the winning pitcher, going all seven innings and giving up no earned runs and only 2 hits. “We will have to play better Friday night at Chipley,” said Ch. Jorey Diamond, “we just have to find it at the plate.” The Royals have several with injuries in the dugout, and they will need to get healthy and stay healthy before they move further into the season. The Royals are 4-5 overall with 12 games remaining and 2-1 in the District.
